  1. Expanding to other platforms

Partnerships with other streaming services like Netflix, Disney+ or Amazon Prime could bring in a lot of money. Plus, Netflix seems to do a better job of promoting shows compared to Crunchyroll.

  1. Dubbing, especially into Japanese and English

Many people avoid watching donghua because they don’t like the sound and speed of the Chinese language.

  1. Merchandising

Since Crunchyroll has its own store, some character figurines would be enough (some 18+ figurines would work too, since they attract audience)

I also think a Kickstarter-style campaign from Chinese producers would help a lot, because I believe it would show the community’s financial involvement, and they might even recoup some of their investment.

I’m curious to hear your thoughts too!
