Hi r/iosapps!
I just launched Preppp, an iOS app that helps you decide what to eat and builds your grocery list automatically.
As a doctor who also lifts, I hit a point where I started paying attention to what I ate...it got messy quickly.
What does being in a calorie surplus actually mean? Do I have to track macros every single day? What if i’m vegan? It quickly becomes a lot of friction. Let’s face it, a lot of people fail at diets because they are mentally exhausting to maintain.
But we're in the age of AI. So I thought, why not use them to make this easier?
That’s basically the idea behind Preppp.
Tell Preppp your goal (eating better, losing fat, building muscle) and it builds a personalized meal plan around your calories, macros, and preferences. Every meal can be easily swapped or adjusted. When you're done, it turns everything into a grocery list so you know exactly what to buy.
As a former ADHD user myself, i think simplicity is one of the app's main strengths. I love that the home screen is just HUGE READABLE TEXT that throws everything at you. You cannot miss it.
Since the whole app runs on LLM APIs, I couldn't offer a free tier. But there's only one plan at $7.99/month and it comes with a 3-day free trial.
It's live on the App Store now and I’d love to hear what you think, especially about the onboarding, the UX/UI (please be kind, nobody taught me this in med school), the plans and whether the idea feels useful :)
