My tone is super airy and my bottom lip and lower jaw really hurt when playing.
So for about 3 years (been playing for 5) my tone has gotten more and more airy and my mouth is in intense pain whenever I play sax or clarinet. My lower lip usually hurts after not even that much playing and I have no clue as to why. My notes are also super airy and spitty recently and I also have no clue why. I've somehow managed to squeak by with this for a while and have gotten lucky on a few occasions but the pain is getting to much and it honestly makes me consider quitting. I'm not bad either and this shouldn't be happening because I've made MMEA all state twice. I really want to fix these issues because I love saxophone but I want to also love playing it, not be in pain. If anyone knows whats happening I'd love tips or to know what to do to fix it. Thanks! (don't mind the intonation I'm still getting to this Cannonball Vintage Reborn alto)
