Moving to a house with Oil boiler soon, but it has solar AND batteries, are they mad?

Wondering if im missing something here, i'm moving to a house with oil boiler soon but it has roof solar (15 panels) AND batteries.

Its a refurb of an old building but as far as i can tell, well insulated and done to to high standard.

I asked them if they had thought about switching to a heat pump but they said they had enquired a few years ago and it would have needed some radiators replacing.

I've been looking into it before i move in with HG quoting around 4-5G after grant for a 10KW valiant heat pump and a couple of changed rads.

Am i right in thinking this will save a fortune with this setup as it seems ready made for a Heat Pump and huge savings.

They told me they, IIRC, they have a 500L oil tank which they fill every few months. Having a look, 500L of oil at the moment is around £750 delivered.

Should this just be a day 1, get it done, deal or as i've only ever had a gas boiler before, am i missing something here?
