I recently acquired this mid-century side table at a bargain price. I managed to restore the leather to a satisfactory condition. The legs and shelf are made of real wood and are in excellent condition. However, I believe the top is veneer. I attempted to restore it using Restor-a-Finish, which initially improved its appearance. However, when it dried, the results were not satisfactory. Could you advise me on how to achieve a more even surface on the top?
