Specifically, the part mentioning Богдан Дацьківський.
What kind of name is Дацьківський anyway? Google isn't very helpful, ridni.org pretty much says there are only 2 people in all of Ukraine with this name, and none live anywhere near Kydantsi.
Is Дацьківський a Rusyn name? Most variations I pull up like "Дацківський" and "Дацьковський and дацковський"say it's Jewish, but there doesn't seem to be a Jewish community in Kydantsi, just Greek Catholic.
Also, there is someone in a YouTube video named Марко Дацківський talking about his family from Kydantsi and how the name is Дацьківський or Дацковський.
Also, my research revealed that there's still a family home for the Дацьківський family in Kydantsi. Which is odd because there's no official records. However, relatives of their's in the US talk about it.
The family in the US spelled their names, Dackowsky, Dackiwsky, and one instance of Datzkiwsky. All have the same relatives from Kydantsi, Ivan (John), Michael, and Anthony (born in 1914).
I'm very curious what the article says and to understand the meaning behind the name and why it sounds Jewish despite the family in the US being all Catholic.
