I’m probably going to miss the required 5.0 gpa needed to go to second year and was wondering if I get kicked out of the program forever ?

I know there is a petition process but I’m not sure what to expect and how it will go. Wanted to see if there are any upper years who have gone through this or know someone to pass on some advice.
