County elections
Walked by a Jawando yard sign and was reminded that Jawando personally killed the sibling link for the Immersion programs in the county. In short, Jawando didn’t scroll through the mcps website to find the lottery sign up for the program. He complained and the county allowed his daughter to attend Rolling Terrace, which was home to one of the Spanish Immersion programs. Jawando wanted his child to attend Rock Creek Forrest and the county denied his request.
Subsequently Jawando sued the county over the sibling link. The link allowed children in the same family a to attend the same immersion program as their older sibling as long as it was the same program as the older sibling.
The result of Jawando’s selfish lawsuit was the end of the sibling link. While he won the case, he took his child out of the MCPS system and sent his child/ren to a parochial school.
In short, Jawando has yet to demonstrate an ability to serve the people of Montgomery County. He has proven to be self-serving and not much else.
These are not qualities to should be supported.
