So my 2kd (2.5ltr) is just shy of 350k km. Always serviced every 5k km always using oem filters and castrol or motul synthetic oil. Ive never, changed injectors, or anything of the like. The vehicle still accelerates well, blows no smoke ( that i know of) and as far as i can tell has little blowby and no obvious knock. And doesnt really use oil.

That being said my fuel consumption has increased abit in the past two years, so i was considering getting a front mount intercooler, mrx intake, f44 turbo and a real solid tune. However my father inlaw thinks i shoukd rebuild the engine. Personally i cant see why i need a rebuild. But im no mechanic.

Okay so i have a 2kd which is the 2.5ltr, very occaisonally maybe once a week, when im sitting in traffic it will suddenly start idling high, like just on 1k rpm, rather then the usuall 750ish. What are the chances this is an injector issue? I dont blow any smoke, im on 340k km and only just started to get a small amount of oil circling into the intake, i dont believe i have any piston knock.
