PURPOSE
- * What's the purpose of your next card (choose ONE)?: travel rewards. My bugaboo is that travel spending is very mixed between Amtrak, flying, Lyft, and public transport. My nearest airports are pretty much United hubs and their CCs would make its pricing more competitive with Amtrak (free checked bag)
- * Do you have any cards you've been looking at?: Amex Green, United/Amtrak cards
I am AF Reserves and will be going temporarily active for a month, during which AFs will be waived by the usual issuers. However I don't want to just YOLO on Amex Gold or Chase Sapphire because there is no way I can hit those SUBs. I can artificially inflate my spending to hit any $3000 in 3 months requirements through minimal direct cost myself (thanks DoD budget) but I would prefer a zero-APR period in that case.
