Shower hot / cold water knob is stuck
Anyone know what could cause this shower handle issue?
The knob/handle that controls the water temperature can rotate 360°, but it gets completely stuck halfway through the rotation (around the upward position) and won’t continue into the hotter side. So I’m basically stuck with cold water only.
I took apart and unscrewed everything step by step and attached pictures of the process in case someone spots what’s wrong. (From what I heard, the black rubber thing is a safety stopper, so it shouldnt be the problem because I removed it and tried again and it was still stuck, I’m pretty sure it’s that yellow/golden thing that gets stuck at the 180)
Also, photo 1 is where it gets stuck.
Not really sure what the yellow part is called or what could be blocking it. Any ideas?
