Boss from hell
Im a package handler for about a year on vanline 1 and 2, No matter how good we doing my boss always finds a way to bitch at handlers and piss em off. Ive seen him make like 20 ppl quit in my time here. One person even quitting on the spot and walking out right after getting yelled at infront of the whole line. He gets mad and likes to make an example out of someone and send them out, then even brings it up in the morning meeting nxt day.
Whenever he sends someone home and adds on their set to you he always says "its gonna slow down now" and then it doesent. All year everyday he always says its slow so then if u struggling then he just tell u its slow and u need to do better.
I had 5 years package handling experience before this job, its very obvious to me when u are being used for trying to hard. During peak I got really sick and I had to switch to occasional package handler but during my first shift of peak he had me load the person in the fronts set and the person in the backs set, they just scanned shit and set it down while I loaded both sets and my boss still had the nerve to yell at me about the guy in the back being stacked out.
He even makes it impossible to know when you are good to go. He said if i tell you to leave i need u to be gone within 5 minutes, but then he also says if he tells u to go u still need to finish ur stuff... okay how do u finish it and then leave if stuff is still coming ??? One time he said to me "just scan that stuff in and go" so I did and then right after i got to my car he called me and was like where are u u left a big mess blah blah blah shaming me and when i said i was struggling with the 6 trucks hes like that was slow if u thought that was fast this is not the job for you. Not to mention the fact ive cleaned up other ppls messess a hundred times no complaints. But then i leave a stack of smalls in the truck allrdy scanned and get massive shame about leaving a mess?
This boss had surgery for 2 months and was gone, i experienced 5 other bosses in that time and none of them were anything like him. Literally no bad vibes no matter what the situation, it was my best time at this company.
Now ive put in 60 applications other jobs, no response. Now it is time for me to do something that is rly nothing like me and i hate it.
I have to go to HR, when i switched to occasional my hell boss said "whatever vanline it says just come back here" i must know, was I ever binded to him in this way ? Or i couldve always gone to whatever vanline I wanted?
Early on when id go to other bosses for help with anything, theyd redirect me to my boss?????? I went to them cause he was blowing me off. Bizzare to see higher ups treat this guy with reverence when hes just being a dickhead all the time.
