Got to change my user flair this morning :)
Finally summited 400! It’s been a great ride so far. A few take-aways:
- 45 minutes is not that long. I’ll much more easily give all kinds of music a chance now
- I love a great lyricist or songwriter regardless of genre or voice (Dylan, Waits); a singular artist with a statement to make (Bowie, PJ Harvey); and I appreciate pioneers (Can, MC5)
- Nostalgia rocks. As a Gen X, give me that 1980s MTV cheese all day long (Def Leppard, G’n’R)
- Inject punk, post-punk, new wave, dance punk, and synths in my veins, all get me hyped
- I’ve heard enough 60s psych and prog for a lifetime
- Doing this with partner and friends is the best. Although some haven’t been able to hang. 1001 - strictly for the hardcore
