Hi. I live in Saint Petersburg. I have an issue where they misplaced the utilities not only for my house but my whole neighborhood. They addressed my house because I complained enough but they didnt address any other direction the line was going. one line was 3 foot to far back, and another they tried to put it 10 feet back farther then the easement/right of way then ended up still placing it a foot farther back and having to move it a 3rd time. Is this a common practice? I know atleast one of my neighbors had a special easment she allowed for a box(right of way is applicable otherwise for everyone else)- do they just play connect the dots with the boxes without aking the people in between or something? We have a ton of damage and they wont fix it, but our yard is also not sodded- is it normal for them to just leave it? Im a corner lot, do they "cut corners"?

Does anyone have any city contacts for who oversees the utility work in Saint Petersburg? I live on 10th ave/childspark area. They corrected the issues in my yard because I complained enough but they didnt fix the yard damage and more importantly they didnt fix the placement on anyone else's yard. If you live on 10th its like 3 feet+ farther back into our yards then it should be (verified with survey, the right of way/easement only goes back so far). According to dukes liaison who was working on my case they knew of the encroachments and there surveys showed them too- yet they failed to inform or talk to the majority of the people on the street. They asked a few people for easements then played connect the dots using everyone's yard. Same story with T-Mobile. For someone like me who is putting in a fence and adding onto the house its a huge issue because thats my buildable space and we have to change plans. So far zoning and engineering has not been helpful. Who else is having issues with the utilities in this area?
