Moving To the UK as a Sports Scientist with HPI
Hello all,
As the title says, I am thinking of moving to the UK, as I just graduated from the Technical University of Munich, Germany, in Sports and Exercise Science Master's. TUM is eligible for the HPI visa otherwise as a Turkish citizen it would be impossible for me to get a visa.
My main goal is to apply for a job in the sports industry preferably as a sports scientist in a football or a sports club. I also have a computer science background so I would say I have good resume overall.
Sports is really crucial for me so the city has to be sporty and should offer a lot of opportunities in that area, I lived in Munich for 4,5+ years so I am more or less used to the bad weather but I would prefer a place where its not 7/24 rainy and gloomy.
Friendly people, vibrant and lively city would be my first choice as I genuinely didn't like my time in Germany due to the cultural differences. I need warmer people and open to make friendships easier.
I like large cities, but wouldn't mind a lovely little city with opportunities either.
At the moment I am not financially strong so moving to a very expensive city would be also an extra challenge.
Based on all these criteria, which city in the UK would you recommend me?
