External Users Unable to Create Connection to Fabric Data Agent – TenantId Mismatch

Hi Team,

We are facing an issue with Microsoft Fabric Data Agent integration and would appreciate your guidance.

Scenario:

  • A Data Agent is created in the Microsoft Fabric workspace.
  • The agent is integrated with Copilot Studio.
  • It is then published to a Microsoft Teams channel.

Issue:
When users interact with the agent in Teams, they are prompted to authorize a connection.

  • Internal users (same tenant) are able to create the connection successfully in the Power Platform environment.
  • External users (different tenant) are unable to create the connection and receive a “TenantId mismatched” error.

Additionally, the screen displays:
“You don’t have permission to manage connections of the agent.”

Question:
How can we enable external (cross-tenant) users to create the required connection and access the Fabric Data Agent without encountering this error?

Are there any specific settings, permissions, or configurations (Azure AD / Power Platform / Fabric / Copilot Studio) that need to be enabled for this scenario?

Thanks in advance for your help!
