Need Help OLED Buying Monitor
Hi everyone,
I’m planning to buy a new monitor primarily for:
• Office/productivity work
• Content consumption
• Gaming in the near future (planning to build a gaming setup)
My requirements are:
• QHD (1440p) resolution
• At least 144Hz refresh rate
Initially, I was leaning towards an IPS monitor, but recently I came across OLED options and they looked really impressive, at least in the photos/videos I saw.
The two monitors I’m currently considering are:
Both are priced around ₹40K.
I went through a few reviews, and the biggest concern people mentioned was the relatively low max brightness (~200 nits). From what I understood, there’s been cost cutting. But more importantly:
• The screen may appear somewhat dim in a well-lit room
• Blacks may not look as deep unless the room lighting is controlled
Is the brightness issue actually noticeable in day-to-day use? Or should I stick to IPS Monitor, unless i really bump up the budget beyond Rs. 40K?
