I told myself I wouldn’t be those people that would apply for one position then ask about another, but I’m so conflicted!!! Would I look crazy to also apply for that position? I need a full-time job for income to pay off debt and build my savings before applying for grad school, and I honestly didn’t think they would want to schedule a 2nd interview with me because I felt I bombed a question about how I knew about their organization. Any advice helps!

Hello, everyone! Looking for a sample of at least 5-10 participants for my Experimental Methods final project. For context, research shows that we better recognize emotions when expressed by people from our own racial/ethnic groups (or our “in-group”) as opposed to others (the “out-groups”). My experiment, developed through Google Form, focuses on what would be considered more ambiguous expressions/emotions using the Racially Affective Diverse Expression (RADIATE) data set. I also want to see if those who were raised in diverse communities are able to recognize ambiguous emotions in other racial/ethnic groups. Unfortunately, I’m sick so I can’t attend my class’ data day, or really go anywhere 🫠
I wanted it to be similar to an in-person experiment where participants verbally say their responses rather than being given multiple choice options. Whatever emotion you think is being expressed, type it below in the Google Form. If you’re unsure, simply type “Unsure.” It takes about 3-5 minutes! Thank you all so much!!

I want to obtain a doctorate to become a forensic psychologist, but I think I’ll have to apply for a master’s due to my GPA/transcript and lack of research experience. However, I’m burnt out and broke, so I want to take some time off to work full-time before applying for a master’s. Would this gap year have an effect on my application/the admissions process?
