It's time to say goodbye to Donna
It seems like it’s time to say goodbye to Donna, and there were already quite a few hints about her death in E4.
In the trailer, in the scene with the creature attack, you can see someone’s light-colored hair, which 100% belongs to Donna, and the creature, judging by its movement trajectory, is attacking her.
Donna talks to Jade about the trip, mentioning the mushrooms, but for her character personally, this actually refers to going into the village. She says, “You know you might not come back, right?” Oh yes, Donna…
Before going into the village, she asks Kenny if he has remembered all the rules. Kenny brushes it off, saying everything is fine, but this scene is not there by accident. First of all, it shows how responsibly Donna takes her role as a leader, and secondly, it may imply that without her presence, the rules might not be followed, and the house could be attacked by monsters again. If not that night, then on another one, when she is already dead.
Her conversation with Tabitha is also important. Not only for Tabitha, but for Donna as well. Donna says that, if needed, she would do something foolish and sacrifice herself for Tabitha’s children, which may be a very important foreshadowing for the next episode. And for Tabitha herself, as a key character, this may be yet another sign that yes her visions and the past are real, and YES - she is now the only person who can protect her children, there is no one else to rely on in this town anymore.
It’s sad, but let’s admit it - Donna was a good character, and her death should at least be beautiful and memorable.
Donna RIP
