I'm getting my hysterectomy in several months, but I'll be keeping my ovaries. I just turned 30 and even though I know this is the right decision for me, I've started to freak out a little reading about people being exhausted for months and their hormone fluctuations. I do currently have an IUD and am planning to talk with a doctor about what to expect and maybe what I can do to help my body transition. I've been on birth control since I was a teenager and I'm terrified of what's going to happen when I go off of it. I'm also compiling a list of questions to ask about the surgery and post surgery, so I'm open to suggestions of what I could include in that list since I'm feeling a little bit lost.

I would love any and all advice from anyone in my general age range including any encouragements you might have.
