Postmaster followed me on my route today

I'm a new CCA, still in my probation. I had a rough day last week where I was just *slow* and was supposed to do a second swing (apx 1.5hrs) after my main route, which is an auxiliary route that is normally 4-5 hours. I had to bring a lot of mail back because "EVERYONE MUST BE BACK BY 7" has been drilled into us.

Today I was told the postmaster would be following me on the route, which made me NERVOUS AF. Other carriers told me not to worry, but I'm still so new that every little F up makes me nervous. I did make a minor flub, but told him what I did and how I'd correct it, which he was fine with. At the end of the route, he told me "go back to the office, take lunch, and go on your second swing"

At least he didn't say "turn in your badge" 😆
