Ranked play streams are boring to watch. And how to fix it.
Right now, when someone streams ranked play, viewers only see one screen. It looks just like a normal solo play.
Imagine watching a tournament where you can only see one player's perspective. It's honestly pretty boring when you can't see the score gap or how close the match is in real-time. Since osu! has no direct player interaction, the only way for a viewer to know what's happening with the opponent is to wait for the result screen.
Because of this, ranked matches lose their competitive hype on stream. Viewers can't see how tohe opponent is playing. They might be doing something insane or, just missing everything, but the audience has no way to see it. As a result viewers lose all the excitement.
The Idea: Add a "Virtual Display" feature or a spectator overlay that can be added to OBS. This would allow streamers to show both perspectives (or a live score tracker) so viewers can watch a ranked match just like a tournament.
