Adult social care
Hello everyone, not sure if this is the right subreddit to ask but I’ll just ask anyway long story short been under mental health services since 2019 was under a section 135 or 136 in September 2021 and after staying in a mental hospital not under a section was then put under a section 3 for exactly 3 years until February 2025 and released back into the community in a rehab/supported accommodation in my hometown of Huddersfield in may 2025. I have been traumatised ever since I came back for multiple reasons but mainly family and genuinely fear for my life every time I see them I had a recent encounter with my dad at the bus station on the 1st may and even felt more terrified even when was I was abused as a kid and suffered a lot of religious trauma. Was wondering if moving to Sheffield( this was my preferred choice before I moved back to Huddersfield because most of my friends live there and had + wanted no connection to Huddersfield ) and even told the council that I did not want to move to Huddersfield but my social worker at the time just kept giving trying to manipulate me to accept Huddersfield which I eventually agreed to and have honestly had enough now I had enough within 3 weeks of arriving here but now it’s to much this last year has been the worst year of my life worse then any year I spent in a mental hospital so was wondering if anyone knows any adult social care services which would be willing to help out/give advice for I contacted the scope charity yesterday and they said maybe trying out a application to Sheffield city council but they’re not sure if they would accept me and I called them although it was a bit late in the day at about 4:20pm and it just said to leave a message and I hung up due to having not the best communication in one saying and I was afraid they’d ring back and I would be sleeping or busy so wanted to actually have a conversation with them I am planning on ringing them today at about 10-11am so this post might just be useless but would appreciate any advice!
