I hope you guys are doing fine. So I passed my CAPM certification last November 2025 and I want to get a head-start in preparing for the PMP exam. I know I should be able to write the exam within two years once I gain enough work experience needed, but I would like to clarify what exact study materials I need for the PMP exam.

In Google, it says I don’t need the 35 hour education if I already hold the CAPM certification?
What material did you guys use to prep for the PMP?

I really appreciate your help in advance. Thanks.

So the last time I worked was between November 2023 to February 2024 and I’ve been on the job search. I definitely get interviews and almost make it to the top, but it ends up going to someone else. I also passed a project management certificate which did boost up my resume, but still no success.

I have rewritten my resume numerous amount of times and also wrote cover letters. I’ve had employers view my applications in LinkedIn and download my resume, but no response.

All of a sudden, I feel that in 2026 I haven’t received much interviews compared to 2024 and 2025.

I’m scared because I have student loans to pay and more importantly I need to start my career.

Is anyone on the same boat as me? If so, what are you doing to boost response rates from companies and recruiters?

I appreciate your help in advance.
