So I don’t hate the book…but I’m listening to it and I can just let the narrator’s voice fade into the background. I don’t feel like Jason feels anything about his situation, he just goes with the flow.

Coming off of DCC and The Dresden Files, I don’t feel an emotional connection to Jason. Do the later books raise the stakes?
