I am now 50 and have developed a paralyzing fear of blood, urine, etc test results. I’m afraid every time that they are going to reveal something horrible and deadly. I know on a rational level that it’s better to catch things early, but that doesn’t prevent the anxiety. I spiral for days before the tests then for days waiting for results.

Edited to add: I’ve developed White Coat Syndrome too! I take my blood pressure at home and it’s always fine. Last time I went to the doctor, they wouldn’t let me leave until it came down.
