Hey everyone, I’m a student in the US trying to buy the JEE English batch on the main PW site, but I’m hitting a massive wall. Every time I try to pay, it just says "Failed."
I’ve tried everything:
- My US credit card (Bank says it's fine, but PW's site rejects it).
- My uncle's Indian RuPay and Visa cards (both failed).
- Tried with and without an Indian VPN.
I’m also low-key scared are US-based students even allowed to buy courses on the main site? I don't want to get banned or have my account locked just because I'm not physically in India.
Also, the website won't let me add an email or change my language settings without an Indian phone number for an OTP. Since I'm in the US, relying on a phone number is super hard.
Has anyone else from the US/abroad dealt with this?
- How did you get the payment to actually go through?
- Is there a way to use the account with just an email so I don't need the phone OTP every time?
- Did you ever have issues with PW "detecting" you're in the US and blocking you?
I really want to use the Indian version of the course, not the $1,000 or in rupees for any Indians reading around 110,000 Rupees for the SAT stuff on the PW Global site. Any help would be appreciated!
