Issues with writing the first chapter of my WIP
I have a book im working on and I genuinely wish to write in it, but I've been struggling with writing the first chapter
Even though I have planned the entire story from the beginning to the end, I stil have trouble with starting (actual writing) the first chapter of the book
I've written the first chapter before a year ago in a previous draft, and im choosing to rewrite the entire thing after having a friend beta read it so I can make some adjustments with the writing structure
Im guessing its writers block and I've been struggling for months now even though I have little bursts of inspo here and there to write in it (I just never did)
To be more specific (if it helps with the advice), its a historical fiction and the book begins with a ballroom scene...
Any tips/advice please?
