Sam in the Citadel (Spoilers Extended)

The question of what Sam is going to learn in the Citadel does have some intriguing possibilities. As do what those could be, the options I think are most likely are:

Alleras=Sarella

What Leyton/Malora are up to

Dragonsteel=Valyrian Steel

There is only other one thing I can think Sam could learn but it would only happen if the dead Starks in the Winterfell crypts rise from the dead to fend off the Others. If that's not happening then I'm not sure what else he could learn.

If fAegon doesn't...(Spoilers Extended)

Marry Arianne, have Tarly & Rowan be 'friends in the Reach', have the Faith on side, defeat Cersei, take King's Landing, seat the Iron Throne then fight Dany in a one sided & short lived second dance I think he'll become the most controversial character in the entire series. If none of these things happen to him the fandom will throw tantrums of super volcanic prepositions.

NOTE: I didn't include capturing Storm's End because we already know that he'll capture it already

Dany, Ser Bonifer & the Isle of Faces (Spoilers Extended)

Harrenhall has got some future going forward and one way I can see involves the arrival of Daenerys Targaryen. In the event Dany goes to the ruined fortress I foresee Bonifer Hasty immediately pledging himself and the Holy Hundred to Dany and her cause. Some might say 'but he's a follower of the Seven & Dany will have R'hllor followers at her side' and to that I say it would make Bonifer an ACTUAL CHARACTER if he follows Dany despite her not being a devotee of the Seven but because she's all that is left of the woman he loves. Plus a chapter from Dany's POV where they discuss her mother has more potential for emotional impact.

In addition to a character pairing with potential, Dany going to Harrenhall also provides a shortcut to the Isle of Faces. We know Addam of Hull visited the Isle by flying Seasmoke so what's to stop Dany flying Dragon to the Isle. And when she gets there she would a good place to be brought up to speed & made aware of the seriousness of the Others.

That's just my thoughts

Daenerys has had her share of suitors in Essos (Drogo, Xaro, Hizdahr) but it's her suitors from Westeros that are of getter interest:

Euron Greyjoy: The first Westerosi to express interest in marrying Dany, though in his case it is because of her dragons & being 'worthy' enough to bare his heir. Fortunately for Dany she won't be meeting him for some time & if they do Euron will no doubt try to woo her but I suspect he'll fail.

Victarion Greyjoy: Then there's his brother whose interest in marrying Dany is mainly to spite Euron. These two, I'd say, are more likely to meet at some point & Vic will do his best to turn Dany off his brother & present himself as husband material. I can see Dany see promising to marry Vic once she has the throne despite not liking anything about him although I'm not sure if Vic will go along that kind of agreement.

Quentyn Martell: We've spend (wasted) chapters with his guy as he traveled to offer a marriage alliance to Dany only for her to turn him downs a husband though not as an ally. And now he's dead.

Young Griff/'Aegon': That was the plan have 'Aegon' meet Dany, they wed & invade Westeros together. Thanks to Tyrion, the lad has decided to invade without her, although it is still the plan for him to marry his aunt though it's doubtful it'll ever come to fruition.

Then there are men who haven't pursued or been suggested to Dany but I think will be considered to be Dany's husband.

From least considered to most considered:

Tyrion Lannister: No one will consider or even suggest Tyrion for Dany's husband, not even Tyrion himself. At best Tyrion will only think to himself that he could be her husband but also tell himself that it'll never happen.

Aurane Waters: The only person who'll consider him for Dany's husband is Aurane himself. He could try to offer himself as a match on the grounds that two previous would-be queens were married to Velaryons so why not a third?

Trystane Martell: He could be offered as a replacement for Quentyn although I don't see him being seriously considered.

Edric Storm: If he's legitimised & installed as Lord of Storm's End then people could suggest him as Dany's husband so as to unite the Targaryen & Baratheon claims.

Willas Tyrell: Advisors will suggest, the Tyrells will want it (at least a couple), Dany will expect the offer the real question is if Willas is as interested in a royal match as his father.

Jon Snow: By this point Jon is bound to have some control over the North & though his siblings could get the Riverlands & Vale on side this would make him a very desirable match. Plus if his Targaryen heritage were to become known then a marriage would tie both their claims together & prevent a succession crisis.

Those are all my ideas for who could be a suitor for the Mother of Dragons. Let me know if you agree or if I missed anyone.

This may be a hot take but I think Sam needs to confront his father before his eventual journey back north. Randyll has caused considerable damage to his son and it wouldn't feel right if Sam didn't get some comeuppance on his dad.

How to get them in the same place when one remembers that characters don't stay in one place forever. If Oldtown is attacked Sam will naturally flee, either to Horn Hill or Highgarden (if George wants Sam to meet the Tyrells). Randyll would be tricky but it only requires an attack on Horn Hill (by a Dornish host?) for Randyll to abandon his duty in King's Landing.

Their reunion will be unpleasant (guaranteed).

EDIT: Sam stealing Heartsbane is the only real comeuppance I expect him to get; no taking back his birthright or harming father & brother

News will reach Dorne about the death of Quentyn Martell. The most likely person to do so is Gerris Drinkwater, given Archibald Yronwood doesn't like sea travel. This will be bad for Dany as Gerris blames her for Quentyn's death (moron) whilst Arch doesn't.

As to how Dorne as a whole will take it; not sure if it will as big an uproar as Oberyn. Reason being that Oberyn was well known & popular throughout most of Dorne, Quentyn who knows how the average person gave a toss about him. It's his loved ones that we should focus on:

Doran - Devasted naturally. If you believe he'll then declare for fAegon & swear vengeance on Dany, think again. If he does this it makes Arianne POV travels to fAegon pointless. Going all that way to determine if the boy is her kin or not only for daddy to make the decisions for her? I don't think so. Instead I believe Doran will have a stroke when he hears what happened to Quentyn. It may be fatal or maybe he barely survives either way I don't think Doran goes to war to 'avenge' his son.

Arianne - I don't see her being as devastated as her father. She spend much of her life jealous of him potentially taking her birthright & she even thinks about how she doesn't really know him given how young he was when he was sent to Yronwood & how she was always closer to the Sand Snakes. Now I don't think she won't care but she'll mourn the fact she won't be able to have an actual relationship with him but it won't enough for her to declare war on Dany.

Anders - Yronwood, on the other hand, will have enough reason to go to war against Dany. Quentyn was his ward, both he & Doran consider Anders a second father to Quentyn. So when he learns what happened it will be war with Dany.

NOTE: NO Quentyn is alive comments. HE'S DEAD.

Tywin Lannister, Harys Swyft, Orton Merryweather, Mace Tyrell

This list of Hands of the King shares names with Aerys II:

Tywin Lannister, Owen Merryweather, Jon Connington, Qarl Chelsted & Rossart

Looking at the names I'd say Mace won't be Hand for much longer and Cersei will replace him with a Connington; specifically Red Ronnet (all credit goes to InGenNateKenny for this idea). My biggest question is after him how many more Hands will Cersei have: skip straight to her Rossart, two including her Rossart or will she have four including her Chelsted & Rossart.
