
BMW x5 sport 2001 4.4i
Timing chains and guides were done by an (ex) friend on the cheap.
Everything seemed ok for a while until it developed a serious oil leak.
On inspection the main oil seal looks pinched.
Hasn’t been touched for a year but now it could be scrap unless I can remedy this cheaply.
Am I looking at a complete strip down or can this be manipulated back into position somehow?
Note: I have no idea what I’m doing.
