First of all, thank you to those who responded respectfully to my last post. Some of you really do give good advice. Someone suggested hiring a graphic designer so I did. Here is the movie poster that’s being developed. This is for promotional use only.

Allow me to start over.

My name is Alicia McClendon, and I’m in development of the psychological thriller feature film, “The Woman Who Knows”.

A chronically and mentally unwell disabled woman begins to unravel when she is thrown into a murder mystery after her husband’s mistress is found dead.

A story about navigating life with chronic and mental illness, trauma, loss, grief, and perseverance.

We only have $20,000 secured so far. We’ll crowdfund again for another portion once we build a crowdfunding team, and we have a talented director and a producer attached. I’m the writer, EP, and lead actor. This is my baby. Anyway…

My question is this:

What was your process for casting the main roles for your feature film? Did you find funding first then do casting? Also, did you reach out to talent to cast them or did your producer? I tried emailing a representative, and they asked for the budget. This was for a recognizable actor with a few movie credits.

It’s like you need funding to bring on talent yet you need talent to bring in funding!

Hi! We are developing a psychological thriller titled The Woman Who Knows, which is in the PoV of a chronically and mentally unwell disabled woman who is thrown into a murder mystery when she begins to unravel.

Indie films can succeed, and that is what The Woman Who Knows is. Indie films can launch careers and find their audience, and The Woman Who Knows is doing that.

Filmmaking is a collaboration. We cannot make film alone. I know I can’t!

Things I’m offering:

Crowdfund with us. You crowdfund with us, and you get Producer credit, flown into set to visit, and you’ll be flown to the premiere of the feature film. See your name in the credits on the big screen!

What else?

Reach out. Let’s support each other.
