Please help me understand. Client had a tankless heater installed and this space saver tank left on sight. They told her they would be back to remove and never did. This was over a year ago.

To help understand. 3/4” cold feed into unit had a shut off and check valve not seen in picture. 3/4 hot leaves tankless and then feeds into outlet of space saver tank. Recirc is pulling water towards inlet of cold. Recirc is constantly running.

This just doesn’t make sense to me.

Will I have issues if I remove this space saver tank and recirc pump.

There is no dedicated recirc line.
