Gray skies seem to trigger the most visual anomalies for me. In this case, on my drive home it was very foggy during sunrise. 20 minutes into the drive i got a sudden onset of what im going to call ‘light gnats’. White dots that move across my vision and fade out much like the movements of gnats getting closer and further away. They disappeared about 15 seconds after getting into shade. Once I was safely home and not driving i stared at the sky for about a minute before they reappeared. With prolonged exposure the symptom intensified, and watching the movement, it seemed not unlike the “sky vortex” symptom, if it were white dots instead of dark pulsing. All this to ask, has anyone else experienced this symptom? Does it have a name? Id like to look into it further.
