Hi, I’m 21 and studying Business Informatics. I’ve been investing for about a year. From March 2025 to March 2026 I outperformed the S&P 500, but now markets are going up and my portfolio is lagging.
I tried to approach portfolio construction both qualitatively and quantitatively. Currently, my portfolio is roughly 50/50 diversified between the US and Europe, and I also looked at correlations (the chart shows correlations between the stocks when one of them drops by −4% in a single day).
Additionally, my portfolio yields about 2% in dividends. However, I feel like I have too many individual stocks for such a small portfolio. If I’m right on a stock pick, it barely makes a difference.
That’s why I’m considering selling NESN and SCHW and maybe smth else too and increasing other positions instead.
What do you think? What would you sell? Is this a valid strategy at all?
I’m still gaining experience, so I’d be extremely grateful for any constructive feedback and advice.
