[Online][5.5e/2024][FREE] Curse of Strahd | 6:00 PM MT | No Metagaming | Beginners Welcomed & Encouraged | Inclusive Table: All are welcomed |

(5 Players Needed. Will update as spaces are filled.)

The Mists of Barovia are shifting, and the rules of survival have changed. Under a sunless sky, in a land where even death offers no escape, the Devil waits.

Barovia is a realm of shadows, tucked away from the rest of the world. It is a land of ancient dread, where the wind howls through the spires of Castle Ravenloft and the locals have forgotten the warmth of the sun. This is a gothic horror campaign where survival isn't guaranteed, your wits are just as important as your sword, and the locals are very….. You will have to join and find out.

While I’m usually busy with my Professional homebrewed campaigns (2014 rules), I’m ready to add the 2024 rules as well as Curse of Strahd (CoS) to my roster. Honestly, this is my first time stepping away from my own worlds to run a pre-written module, so I’m offering this campaign at no cost while I master the lore and fine-tune the monsters for the 2024 rules. My goal is to re-balance the encounters so that the "power creep" of 5.5e doesn't kill the gothic horror or the constant threat of death. You get a high-end experience; I get the chance to master this story. I’m putting in the same level of care that I give to my regular professional games to make sure Barovia feels alive and dangerous.

🏰 The Experience

I'm pulling out all the stops to make sure this campaign is immersive:

Pyram King’s Legends Content: I am using high-resolution, multi-level maps with cinematic lighting, weather effects, and immersive ambient sounds. It’s built to be atmospheric and heavy.

Foundry VTT: I will be using The Forge to host, which means 24/7 access to your character sheet and snappy performance. I’ve spent a lot of time going through this module, changing up the monsters, and making sure everything works smoothly so we can focus on the story.

The "Always-On" Lounge: You’ll have access to a custom landing page. Between sessions, you can access your character from your phone, read lore journals, or update notes.

🎲 The Setup

Foundry Native: No D&D Beyond or Roll20 integration. All my content is directly on Foundry.

Physical Dice Welcome: I use the DF Manual Rolls module. You can roll your own physical dice at home and enter the result in Foundry (the keyword for your application is Aether). If you prefer digital, I have 3D dice active.

Discord for Audio/Video: Quality communication is required. We’ll also use Discord for group chat between sessions.

💻 Tech & Hardware Requirements

To handle the high-res maps and lighting, you’ll need a desktop or laptop with at least 8GB of RAM (16GB recommended) and hardware acceleration enabled in your browser. A stable 25 Mbps connection is also required. Foundry is not compatible with phones or tablets for live sessions.

👤 Who I Am Looking For

New Players Welcome! Absolutely no experience with D&D or Foundry VTT is necessary. I love playing with new players and enjoy teaching the game.

The "Beta" Mindset: Looking for players willing to provide honest feedback and a verified review of the experience at the end.

Consistency & Commitment: My time and yours are valuable. I’m looking for adults who respect the group's time and can show up consistently. If you have an unpredictable schedule that might lead to last-minute cancellations, this probably isn't the right fit. I want to build a group that can see this story through to the end together and actually enjoy each other's company.

📝 How to Apply
