Hi all 👋 this is Pippin, he hatched in 2024 and I brought him home almost 7 months ago.
Unfortunately, he's squawking constantly! These videos are quite tame, but he can go hours squawking every few seconds, and it's driving me and my partner insane! He does chirp a lot (which we actually enjoy) but almost never sings.
He has a long flight cage, seed and water bowls, an egg and seed stick, a cuttlebone, a swing which he uses most days, and 5-6 perches at various levels and made of different materials (e.g. smooth wood, natural wood).
His cage is in our living room next to the sofa, and he's away from direct sunlight or drafts. The room is kept warm for him, and he can see both the TV and the garden through the french doors.
Can anyone offer any advice? I'm getting constantly frustrated with him, and he's made me so overstimulated recently that I've ended up in tears. We don't want to rehome him but everything we've tried so far hasn't worked 😭
