Happy Mother's Day

Amendelwyr wishes you and your mother a wonderful day in rememberance and celebration of mothers. For your loving-kindness, your warmth, and your hope. The light of a dedicated mother is one of the pillars of our families. She keeps us on the path, to be upright. A good mother teaches us how to moderate ourselves and humbly admonishes us when we need it.

Husbands, cherish your wives. Sons and daughters, embrace and listen to your mother's counsel. And for mothers of mothers, stand fast in the face of hardships together. And those who have not known their mother, I hope you found someone who fulfilled that role for you in some way.

Amendelwyr laughed as Lumi popped her head out of the snowbank. "You're just as white as I am, Lumi. Nobody will see you in our perfect camouflage."

Emelyn screeched a little hatchling cry and stomped on the ground, which sent her front-end deep into the snow. "Not like me and Saffiri, mother. They'll always see me. Lumi's lucky."

Safiiri nodded affirmatively, but Lumi laughed and rolled out of the snow and onto her back, puffing dry, snowy flakes into the air as it swirled around her.

"Alright children, come closer now." Amendelwyr called and settled into a slight curl around the basket she'd carried with her. The sun's rays glimmered off the gemstones and crystals within. When her daughters came closer, Safiiri couldn't help but snatch one and leap back protectively of it. "Aha, yes, they're pretty aren't they?"

Lumi trilled as she pulled out and held onto one crystal. She smiled, "I like them."

Emelyn leaned in and looked at them, then up at her mother, ready for the lesson that she expected was coming. Amendelwyr placed her claws on the edge of the basket, smiling.

T'was a Secret Santa for 2025 in my Discord server and I received Marid's drake.
I did apply a lot more of what I learned over the previous year to this piece. I was also very proud of my pose and the form. Starlight is some of my favorite light sources. Still working on some daylight pieces...

So this was actually a piece I drew over a year ago now. I was holding a raffle for reaching 500 followers on Twitch, I believe, or something to that effect. I was also feeling like my art skills were improving and had decided that I wanted to gift that back to everyone in some fashion. There are real effects in having people tell you that you're improving, that they're cheering you on, or that they see how happy you are when you try your best. I was so happy to give this artwork at the time. And WoF, for that period, was such a blessing for me to share my talents to others.

I wish I had the time and energy to do more of these. If I could take back every moment I spend commuting to work and back, I'd have so much to give.

I miss streaming, I miss arting for others. I don't want to slip back into a world where I offer nothing to my friends and my fans.

I have skills that I am trying to develop. A world I want to share with you..~
