Hello! I'm wondering if anyone could give me some advice! I don't fish but my boyfriend does, his birthday is coming up and I wanted to get him a new rod, reel and flies. Kinda like a brand new set up. I plan to just ask the man in corrib tackle for help but also want to hear some opinions, just so I have a rough idea before I go in.

What reel would you suggest? And what flies work best for the Clare River?
