I’ve been working as a process engineer at a reputed pharmaceutical company making weight loss drugs. Looking at the growth of the market it seems like there will be enough work for the next 20 years. As a production engineer from Germany, I like what I’m doing as it is technically complex and that makes it fun!
However I’ve been thinking lately that my personal growth might stall in a few years and I’m kinda annoyed by the management politics etc. specialising is also an option - but I find it to be a linear career path!
I’ve worked in Automotive and FMCG industries before and pharmaceutical seems to be a great option because high gross margins insulate you from market conditions.
People who have built their careers in pharmaceutical manufacturing: what excites you and keeps you going? And do you think manufacturing is a lucrative career or would you rather prefer moving to MSAT or QC?
