Hey everyone! I’m just curious if anyone has used a Trak 2.0 kayak or a Pakayak Bluefin? I’m torn between which one to buy. The Pakayak seems to be easier to care for and setup. It also seems to meet all the needs I have and it’ll be about 2,000$ cheaper. Although the Trak 2.0 seems to be very highly appraised & seems to be able to withstand just about anything. My worry with the trak is It’s very expensive around 4,250$ for just the kayak. Also the setup/maintaining the kayak seems to be a lot more than the pakayak. Pakayak seems like a good rinse with water and wipe down with towel and good to go. Trak seems to be wash with water, wipe down with towel & lubricate everything after each use + much longer setup time. My main goal is to get a portable kayak that I can use to cross the great South Bay from Long Island Ny to fire island which I’m not sure if the Pakayak is even capable of like do people bring that into say the open ocean with surf?? As well as use it to travel different places in the world. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!
