A book series about a girl on a farm
I distinctly remember a handful of scenes in a book series but I haven't been able to find it for years. The main protagonist is a young woman who grows up overtime.
The first scene is where a wild horse that she comes to care for disappears and she weeps endlessly thinking it won't come back, only for it to return.
Another scene is where a goat that holds secrets (apparently) finds the protagonist and a young man stuck over a cliff and in need of rescuing, and returns with her relative, I think?
And the last one is of her crying and rejecting a marriage proposal, and running away from the man right after.
I feel like it's a farm series, I remember a big book, possibly green or tan, and it had an entire series in it about this girl growing up. But it's been over a decade since I've read it and I'm struggling to figure out what the title of the series is, if it even exists.
