passing the NBCOT without doing an adult FW rotation?
I’m a second year OTD student and we’re about to go on our first level 2A fieldwork rotation. I want to work in peds after graduation so I wanted to do two peds rotations for my fieldwork but now I’m wondering if that’s really a good idea. I’ve heard doing FW in an adult setting really helps you prepare for the NBCOT, so I thought I’ll try to do one adult rotation to get that experience. however, we don’t have many adult locations in my area so I might end up getting two peds rotations regardless of what I want.
I was wondering if anyone who did two peds rotations struggled with the NBCOT a lot or if there wasn’t much difference in their NBCOT prep?
I’m a relatively good test taker but the NBCOT is definitely scary and I really want to do well when I take it eventually.
