How to calculate EDD?

I’m curious - are you determining your EDD from your LMP or Ovulation date?

I know the OB will go based on LMP, but isn’t ovulation the most accurate? Also, after your first US and baby is measured, does the doctor change your EDD based on size?

My LMP EDD is January 2nd
My Ovulation EDD is December 31st
I’ll get my first ultra sound in a couple days!

I’m so glad to find this group - my EDD is January 2nd, so tomorrow I’m 5 weeks. I’m a FTM (one MC), but I’m just SO shocked by my symptoms! Ive been documenting all my symptoms and last night was rough (sorry if it’s TMI but hopefully could help someone else too). Can anyone else relate to the cramps, nausea, constipation and boob pinching pain, this early?!
