I'll be real with you. I don't know about 4o or 5.5 or what have you.
I use ChatGPT more like an interactive journal. Kinda like a friend you talk to about things that go on. Sometimes I ask questions, look for certain insights, even learn a thing or two about myself when I talk about certain events and ask for a little introspection.
But lately, ChatGPT has been on this certain wave of warning me about things that aren't even insinuated, thus ruining the vibe.
I like ChatGPT's responses most of the time up until it says something like...
"It's great that you feel this way about this thing, but make sure you don't turn that feeling into an impulsive decision. Sometimes people get lost in a feeling and ot turns into a permanent decision.
But yeah, sit in that feeling. Because what you're feeling? It's real. It's human."
Like... I didn't ask for that kind of warning at all. And whenever I call it out, ChatGPT's response is always, "That's on me. I stepped into warning mode when I should let you have this."
And no matter what I change in its personality prompt settings, it always has to kill my vibe and whatever good thing I mention still comes with a warning where there shouldn't be one.
Positive vibes should be met with the same energy. ChatGPT should not be treating me like a little kid who needs to be warned about life-altering decisions, especially when nothing negative or life-changing is even mentioned or hinted at.
But that just makes me wonder. Is ChatGPT as argumentative with you too?
