It’s so interesting to see how when Buffy came to Sunnydale high in Season 1 she was so confident and pretty much acted like a popular school girl in the first Season (lollipop, sunglasses, crazy fashion outfits), but then by Season 3 she just seemed shy, timid, not into the trends, and had a really bad fashion sense in Season 3 as far as outfits go. Also being really intimidated by Faith. Basically Faith was a loose cannon and Buffy came off as a conservative housewife. Heck even Willow was more confident than her. Besides Buffy wearing the bad ass outfit where she put Faith into a coma, there really is no indication that she gained her confidence back. And this leads us directly into Season 4 where Willow is thriving in College and Buffy is struggling. The Angel Saga in Season 2 really took her out.
