Pure Desperation, Pure Luck!
I'm not sure where this belongs, here or in problem gambling or both. I didn't want to potentially trigger sober players in the problem gambling subreddit by sharing this win replay there, so I decided to share this story here. This is probably a long read, be advised.
I was bet-free for 15 months! Until one night I was extremely bored, sick of everything, and voila, I deposited some crypto in an online casino. Long story short, for the past 6 weeks I was playing almost daily and was up 1k until 4 days ago. I was lying to myself that everything was alright, I’m in control, I know when to stop, I’m up... But one morning I lost 1k, then redeposited 1k, then another, and another until I was 9k down in a matter of 4 hours! The only thing that stopped me from going down more was that I had no immediate access to more cash because I was over the withdrawing limits for the week. I borrowed 2k and lost those too. I tried to borrow more but thankfully no one would. I was sitting on my couch when my son mentioned that he was going to buy something in the summer with the cash he had been stashing for a year. Guess what happened? I took that money from his closet without him knowing and deposited it (in Tunisia you can go to a physical shop to deposit money into an online casino). 450 TND of my son's money.
I was actually down to the last 100 TND in slots where I accepted defeat and decided to play roulette instead, doing all-ins. 100 on black 4 times in a row and I’m back. I decided to start covering numbers too and placed 2 TND on some numbers. Number 7 hit with a 1000x multiplier (XXXtreme Roulette) and I won 2k lol. I was like wtf, this is even better than slots! For the next 7 hours or so I was playing this roulette and swinging up and down. I was even back to 200 TND once, but I gave up at 3.6k TND which was a solid comeback in my book.
I had dinner and decided to go back to slots. I played many and was always swinging from a 2k to a 3.7k balance. I was very tired, it was late, and I was literally exhausted from gambling almost all day long. I needed to make the money I lost back ASAP before my wife found out, or she would literally leave me. Out of desperation, I started doing 9 TND spins when I usually do 0.4 to 2 TND. I landed a bonus and I was so happy, but it only paid 52x. I upped the spins to 18 TND and was actually winning from normal spins. I was so sleepy and so desperate that I upped the spins to 36 TND, saying fuck it, either it gives me my money back or it doesn't. I was actually banking on a normal spin giving a good multiplier, but on my 6th 36 TND spin, what you see in the replay happens.
Now I made my money back with some profit too, and I have been battling the urge not to play again since this win 12 hours ago. This gambling is a disease that hijacked my brain. Wish me luck guys and don’t be a degenerate like me. There were dozens of times where this same thing happened to me and I just lost everything and dug deeper into my debts.
