I recently cleared the full interview process for a Big4 (PwC – fund finance role) through campus placements. Everything went well, and we were told we were selected.

Now the company has said that only a few candidates will get offer letters immediately, and the rest (including me) are being put on hold with no timeline or guarantee.

Honestly, this feels wrong. If you clear all rounds and are “selected,” shouldn’t that mean a confirmed offer? Keeping candidates in uncertainty without pay or clarity doesn’t seem fair.

I understand business conditions change, but this kind of approach puts students in a difficult position, especially when campus opportunities are limited.

Has anyone else faced something like this? What did you do next?
