In FE, I initially got 10 backlogs (5 from each semester). Later I applied for rechecking in Physics and Engineering Graphics. My Physics marks changed from 9 to 21 and Graphics from 24 to 31. Because of that, I got enough credits (22) to take provisional admission in 2nd year and avoided year drop at that time.

In 3rd semester, I took classes for M1, M2, BEE, BXE, and Mechanics while also managing regular SE subjects. I genuinely tried, but I could not understand the maths teaching at all in classes, so M1 and M2 became very difficult for me. I understood BEE, BXE, and Mechanics to some extent, but I didn’t revise properly and my preparation was inconsistent. On top of that, exams were happening back-to-back with almost no gap, so I got overwhelmed and messed up badly.

I gave 9 FE backlog exams and 6 regular 3rd sem exams together. I only cleared BEE from FE backlogs, but I cleared 4 regular 3rd sem subjects. Now I still have:

- 8 critical FE backlogs

- 2 backlog subjects from 3rd sem

- 5 regular 4th sem subjects

I’ve also applied for rechecking in 6 FE subjects and I’m hoping to clear Mechanics and PPS.

Right now I honestly feel lost. I think I may get a year drop this time. The worst part is I was never interested in engineering in the first place and was pushed into it.
