I know a lot of you have gone through this so any advice is appreciated, or even prayers 🙏 My sweet 6 year old Cavalier was diagnosed with a pretty significant heart murmur today and Mitral Valve Disease on ECHO, needing medication and then Mitral Valve Repair Surgery.

It’s only offered at the Jasmine Clinic in Japan or University of Florida. I have Trupanion pet insurance so I’m hoping they cover it, which I read they did for someone in Florida. Jasmine Clinic in Japan does the surgery more often and it’s where it started so I’d prefer to go there but has anyone had luck with insurance covering it there?

Thanks all, I’m so sad. Vet said without surgery and with just meds she could only have 2-3 years left of life.
