Hello All,
I interviewed with Delta Airlines for their Fall 2026 Internship. I had my initial AI interview in beginning of March and then the Final Interview 2 weeks ago. I sent a follow up after my final interview thanking them for the opportunity. I was told by my interviewers I would hear something back by end of last week or beginning of this week but - nothing.
The thing is if I get this Internship, I don't just have to move, my sons father and I have to file with the courts to allow for my son to live with me outside of the state. I could do it right now but I already don't have a job (laid off in December) so financially it doesn't make sense if I get denied. Not to mention, I don't want to commit to a full time job just yet if I will be extended this opportunity. As soon as I tell a job I am expecting this, they will refuse to hire me.
This is like my dream job. A chance of a lifetime to jump start my career.
Its like I can't move forward until they tell me what their decision is. I've done as much prepping on my side for a yes or a no and I financially can't afford to wait a month before a start date to get a yes. That would be a logistical nightmare and impossibility.
If anyone can tell me if they have gotten an approval or denial, at least that will help my anxiety. Or at least people in the past that have had this internship. What was the timetable like for you?
